2013’ Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Obstacle Removal Puja

        The Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa is a very important and the most honored Buddha in Tantrism. He is also the Aksobhya-Buddha, the collection of the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and the three fundamentals. He has the unlimited power of purifying sins. If you want to eliminate your sin and to accumulate merits, the quickest and the best way are to piously practice this method of Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Mantra.

       Every October 10 in the Tibetan Calendar, according to the tradition, a grand Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Obstacle Removal Puja is held in our Qinghai Thrangu Monastery.

       Starting from Oct 10 in the Tibetan calendar (12 December of the Gregorian calendar) this year, the Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Puja was held for ten days. The Lamas in the monastery relentlessly recited the Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Scripture. They purified the evil mind by clean water pouring and smoke offering, to give salvation and to offer empowerment to the participants during the ten-day puja.

       The Puja held every year was for the village people and all beings to confess themselves the evil deeds they committed this year and sins accumulated from the very beginning of their lives. No matter how busy they were, the villagers treasured the opportunity to participate this puja. Every day they sent at least one family member to participate the Puja.

During the Puja, Lamas pour clean water and light up smokes to purify their evil minds.

        For those who can't join the Puja, we hope you try your best to read the Vajrasattva Dorje Sempa Scripture as many times as possible. To release captured animals, to offer lights for your master, to become a vegetarian as long as possible will help to eliminate the sins derived from your body, speech and mind. If the obstacle during the road of practice can be removed, your Buddhahood can be accomplished earlier.
