2014 Longevity Buddha Puja

        The magnificent annual Longevity Puja in the Thrangu Monastery was held on 7 July (10 May in Tibetan calendar).

 The puja was held with the sound of pious scripture reading

The Mandala of the Longevity Puja

On the third day of the puja, lamas were dancing in front of the temple with gorgeous costume

The sweltering sun couldn’t stop the worshiper’s believe in the supremacy of “the immediate relief by seeing”

There was no empty seats in the puja

With the sincere invitation with the pure body, mouth and thought, the retreat center teachers, Khenpos sincerely blessed the longevity of venerable LodroeNyima Rinpoche

 For the sake of benefiting the sentient beings and the continue spinning of Falun, we wish the longevity of Rinpoche

On the fourth day of the puja, lamas wore gorgeous costume and lined up in front of the plaza

Lamas were lining up neatly and solemnly for Vajra Dance in order to invite the various Buddha to come to the puja

Venerable Lodroe Nyima Rinpoche, retreat center teachers and Khenpos were sitting on the holy chair to watch the Vajra Dance.

The first Vajra Dance was performed by six young lamas

The agile HanDance made all participants laughed

With exciting mood, the worshippers came to watch the Vajra Dance

        Because of the 2010 earthquake, the masks and costumes of the Vajra Dance were buried under the ground. Although experienced with catastrophes and obstacles, they are now re-established themselves for tomorrow. The impermanent tragedies only lead themselves to a stronger believe in the unlimited wisdom of the various Buddha and they piously praise for the merits of various Buddha. Every dance consisted of the brave guardians and they help to eliminate the unwanted ties, evils and demons in order to pray for peace. We wish the various Buddha empower the Buddhist practitioners with supreme achievement. We believe no matter these pictures and scenes were watched on the spot or from the website, worshippers are still receiving same level of empowerment. A seed of benevolent is now sowed. After gradual accumulation, you will achieve Buddhahood sooner or later.

The first time Vajra Dance performed after the earthquake

On the 5th day morning during the puja, Rinpoche offered retreat center teachers, Khenpos and monks in the Buddha College with resources of body, mouth and thought during the empowerment ceremony.

The empowerment ritual is now begin

In the afternoon, Rinpoche lead the monks to an outdoor area in front of the worshippers ready for empowerment. Rinpoche recognize and promulgate certificates of merits to the lamas with outstanding academic results.

We wish everyone to achieve Buddhahood early, to broadly relief of all sentient being. Amitabha!

Today is the last day of the longevity puja. There were a lot of people coming to join the puja and to receive the longevity empowerment from the Rinpoche.

        After the completion of the longevity Buddha empowerment offered by our venerable Lodroe Nyima Rinpoche, the longevity puja has come to an end.

       We wish this puja will bring joy to all the sentient beings. At the same time, all merits from the puja will dedicate to all senior monks. We wish them long life; continue to spin the holy wheel and to broadly relief the sentient being. Besides, we dedicate to those who love like mother, those sentient being who benefit from this puja and eliminate the fear before death. We wish our country remains prosperous and peaceful and the life and wisdom of the sentient being can be extended and increased. We wish everyone being auspicious, the Bodhi can grow faster and the relief of the sentient being is broader.
