The 83th Birthday of our venerable Thrangu Rinpoche is coming. Various Rinpoches and monks were inviting Thrangu Rinpoche and Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche to host the longevity puja at 4am on the 17th.

        During the puja, Lamas piously read the Longevity script. Lodroe Nyima Rinpoche and Zuri Rinpoche were leading the monks and worshippers to support our venerable Thrangu Rinpoche and Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche with their "Body, Speech and Mind". The pious worshippers and villagers were also offered support to the Rinpoches respectively.

Lamas prepared a huge birthday cake to celebrate Rinpoche's birthday. During the joy of the birthday song, Rinpoche sat down and sliced the birthday cake.

        At about 4pm, our venerable Thrangu Rinpoche, Lodroe Nyima Rinpoche and Zuri Rinpoche were offering Longevity Empowerment to the worshippers located outside the Grand Hall.

        This empowerment ceremony was quite different from the previous one. Thousands of worshippers and villagers coming from different areas wearing festive costumes were crowded towards the seat of the Rinpoche. Lamas were sprinkling dew water at the heads of the worshippers. They in return offered Khatag and material to lamas. Rinpoche then joyfully threw blessed material back to the crowd. People tried to catch the blessed material with their hands and hats. …

        The empowerment puja lasted for several hours and people were reluctant to leave. At 8pm in the evening, under the lead of various Rinpoches, lamas were dedicating their merits and hoped the longevity of our master and to continue spinning of the holy wheel to benefit the sentient beings. They also prayed for world peace, prosperity, favorable weather, bumper harvest, elimination of all epidemics and removal of evil obstacles.

       At this moment, the 3-day enlightenment ceremony had successfully come to an end!
